The collections are designed with a consideration of Japanese aesthetic perception of space “Yohaku” (余白), which means remaining space or incompleteness.
The contrast between the surface created by bamboo slats and the emptiness created by aluminum tube balances up the chair’s beauty. The blank spaces in the chair is designed carefully and emphasized as much as the chair deisgn itself.
Yohaku side chairs and armchairs are stackable and can be used with Kohaku dining table. Yohaku bar stools with and without arms suit with bar table or dry bar table. Both collections are made from the sustainable materials bamboo and aluminum tube which are easily separable for the future recyclability. They are perfect collections for domestic and contract dining, especially for outdoor context.
